BSCS 4A CS Seminars and Educational Trips BLOG REPORT: “SOSCONPH 2024: Weaving Tomorrow’s Techscape” On October 12, 2024, I had the privilege of attending SOSCON PH 2024: Weaving Tomorrow's Techscape at the Novotel Araneta City in Cubao, Manila . The event kicked off with a registration call time of 8 AM and officially began at 10 AM, concluding around 5-6 PM. The day was filled with insightful discussions led by various speakers, including Yong Seok Park, Managing Director of Samsung R&D Institute PH , and Loisa Buenafe, Head of Learning & Development. They set the tone for an enriching day focused on open source technology and innovation. This event was not just another seminar; it was a full-day journey into the evolving world of blockchain technology, filled with insights from industry leaders, networking opportunities, and engaging discussions. A Challenging Yet Rewarding Start The day started early for us, as we traveled from Olongapo to Bataan. Waking up before dawn was a challenge, but the excitement of the congress kept my spirits high. This event was organized by the Cybersecurity Bureau of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in Marinduque and took place on August 27, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM via Zoom.
