“RAITE 2024”
The
Regional Assembly on Information Technology Education (RAITE) 2024 was
initially scheduled for October 24, 2024, at Angeles University Foundation in
Angeles City, Pampanga, but was postponed to November 4, 2024, due to Typhoon
Kristine. This assembly is designed to offer various competitions and
challenges, promoting skill-building and knowledge-sharing opportunities for IT
students and professionals throughout the region.

Such an inspiring experience attending the Regional Assembly on Information Technology Education, RAITE 2024, where it speaks about the significance of skill development and collaboration among both IT students and professionals. Competitions for students were aplenty, and our dance team was going to represent our school with all their might to leave a great impression. Along with these competitive events, we were also enlightened by expert speakers who discussed the latest developments in AI technology. Their knowledge deepened an understanding of AI's overall impact on several sectors and how staying current in this fast-evolving field is important.
Though we did not win, competing among so many talented teams was a rewarding experience. I spent my free time performing with all my energy in rehearsal. Despite this, we did not place, but I was satisfied by the results and happy about the deserved winners. This experience has motivated us to keep improving and to be excited about future opportunities for us to showcase our skills and school spirit.
Attending RAITE 2024 was a valuable experience that opened
our minds to the transformative potential of AI technology, especially in how
it can be incorporated into different areas of our lives. The speakers
illustrated how AI is revolutionizing industries, sparking ideas on how we
might apply similar concepts to our future projects. For example, AI tools
could streamline our preparation for upcoming competitions by helping us
analyze and enhance our dance routines with motion tracking or by optimizing
choreography for improved performance.

Another
significant takeaway was the creative potential AI offers. As a dance team, we
could leverage AI to inspire fresh ideas for our routines, perhaps by using
AI-driven music composition or by creating interactive stage visuals that
respond to our movements. Integrating such technologies could help us deliver
more innovative, immersive performances that blend artistic creativity with
advanced technology. The event also inspired us to remain curious and adaptable
to tech advancements, motivating us to explore AI’s role in both our academic and
creative pursuits.

For
future events, it would be helpful to enhance the venue’s temperature control,
as it became a bit warm during the event. Improving air circulation or adding
cooling systems would create a more comfortable environment for participants.
Additionally, increasing the availability of seating would provide more
comfort, particularly during breaks or while attendees wait for the next
session. These adjustments could improve the overall experience and allow
everyone to participate fully without distractions.
