BLOG REPORT:
"IRCITE 2025"

On April 4, 2025, I had the privilege of attending IRCITE 2025 (International Research Conference on Information Technology Education 2025) at Bulacan State University. This event brought together students, researchers, and industry professionals to discuss the latest trends in IT education and research. The conference offered an excellent platform for showcasing our research, engaging with experts, and learning about the future of technology. I had the opportunity to present our research project as part of a poster presentation, and it was an experience I won’t forget.

Unlike the typical PowerPoint presentations we’re used to, the poster presentation format allowed for a more interactive experience. Instead of simply presenting our findings to a large audience, we had the chance to engage one-on-one with attendees. This format fostered more in-depth discussions and allowed me to explain our research in a way that felt more personal and impactful. It was great to receive feedback from peers and faculty, as it opened my eyes to new ways of thinking about our work.

The event also featured a variety of guest speakers who shared valuable insights into the latest advancements in IT. Their talks were both informative and inspiring, focusing on emerging technologies and their practical applications in the real world. It was fascinating to hear about cutting-edge developments in fields like AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity, and how they are shaping the future of IT education.

The conference wasn’t just about academic presentations; it also included several fun activities to keep the energy high. There were raffles, performances, and opportunities for networking that made the event feel both educational and enjoyable. These activities helped break up the intense discussions and gave everyone a chance to relax, connect with others, and have a bit of fun.

While IRCITE 2025 was an overall success, there are a few areas where improvements could be made to make the experience even better. One of the biggest challenges I noticed was the lack of parking space. With so many attendees, finding a parking spot near the venue was difficult, causing unnecessary stress for participants. For future events, ensuring there is adequate parking or providing better parking arrangements would make a huge difference.

Another area for improvement was the food and kit distribution. While it went smoothly within each school, distributing items to individual students was a bit slow. A more streamlined distribution process could help save time and prevent long lines. Additionally, I noticed some students seemed to dilly-dally and wander around, which caused congestion in certain areas. Clearer signage and a more organized flow for activities could help keep everything moving efficiently.

Overall, IRCITE 2025 was an enriching and enjoyable experience. I’m grateful for the opportunity to showcase our research, learn from experts, and network with fellow students and professionals. While there are areas that could be improved, such as parking, food distribution, and crowd management, the event was well-organized and successful. I look forward to participating in more conferences like this and seeing how future events evolve.
